  • Rich Nations Moving Fast on Haiti Debt Relief

  •   A group of countries that have made loans to other nations has called on its members to speed up the process of canceling debts owed by Haiti.

  •   The Paris Club Tuesday urged its members to finish a process that began last year, out of consideration for "the financing needs Haiti will face reconstructing the country."

  • US Air Force Drops Aid to Haitians

  •   The U.S. military has begun airdropping desperately needed food and water to Haitian earthquake survivors in an effort to overcome congestion at the airport and other obstacles to delivering aid.

  •   A U.S. Air Force plane dropped more than 14,000 "ready to eat" meals and 15,000 liters of water into an area north of the capital, Port-au-Prince.
