- Floods Kill 94 People in China
- 中國 94 人死於洪水
- Chinese state media say torrential rains have flooded parts of seven provinces in China, killing 94 people.
- 中國國營媒體說，驟雨在中國 7 個省 (和直轄市) 的部份地區引發了洪水，導致 94 人死亡。
- The Xinhua news agency says 25 other people have been reported missing after high waters wept through their neighborhoods.
- 新華社說，據報告還有 25 人因洪水在他們所在地區氾濫而失蹤。
- The report says the floods have affected nearly 17 million people in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Chongqing and Shaanxi. Half a million people have been evacuated.

- Indonesian police say poisonous fumes from a volcano near Jakarta has killed six students who were camping on its slopes.

- Police said today (Monday) the teenagers were among at least 20 students who were on a camping trip at the Salak volcano, an area south of the capital.
