  • Shanghai Builds Underground Safety Bunker for 200,000 People

  •   A state-controlled newspaper in China says the country's most populous city, Shanghai, has built a vast, underground bunker to protect people in the event of a nuclear attack or other calamity.
  • 一家中國報紙報導,中國人口最多的城市上海建成一個巨大的地下防空掩體,以備在遭遇核襲擊或是其他災難時保護民眾。

  •   The Shanghai Morning Post reports the facility is 90-thousand square meters and connects to shopping centers, office buildings and apartment blocks through a series of tunnels.

  •   Chinese government-controlled news media say the northeastern port city of Dalian will build the country's first home-grown commercial magnetic levitation train line.
