  • Poll: 81 Percent of US Residents Say Country Headed in Wrong Direction

  •   A new survey by the New York Times and CBS News says 81-percent of U.S. residents believe the United States is headed in the wrong direction.

  •   That number was 69 percent last year and 35 percent in early 2002.

  • Report Finds Higher US Consumer Losses to Internet Scams

  •   A U.S. government report says U.S. residents lost more money to internet fraud in 2007 than ever before.

  •   The Internet Crime Complaint Center says internet fraud involving auctions, identity theft and other activities cost U.S. consumers a record 239-million dollars, an increase of 40-million dollars from 2006.
