- I'll state my case, of which I'm certain

- I've lived a life that's full
- 我已經有個充實的人生
- I've traveled each and every highway
- 我走過了各條大街小巷
- And more, much more than this
- 而且，更重要的是：

- But then again, too few to mention

- 謹慎地跨出每一步
- And more, much more than this

- When I bit it off more than I could chew
- 當我貪心地想吞下我咬嚼不動的份量
- But through it all, when there was doubt
- 這一切雖然仍有所疑惑
- I ate it up and spit it out
- 我就是忍氣吞聲
- I faced it all and I stood tall
- 我抬頭挺胸地面對一切
- And did it my way
- 且依照我自己的方式去做
- I've loved, I've laughed and cried
- 我愛過、笑過、哭過
- I've had my fill; my share of losing
- 我曾志得意滿；也曾失敗落寞
- And now, as tears subside

- I find it all so amusing

- And may I say - not in a shy way

- If not himself, then he has naught
- 如果不能擁有他自我，他就一無所有

- And not the words of one who kneels
- 而不是卑躬屈膝的言語
- The record shows I took the blows
- 過去的紀錄顯見我是有擔當的人
