  • US-North Korea Nuclear Talks Go Into "Overtime"
  • 美國朝鮮北京核談判進入延長時期
  •   Talks between the top nuclear negotiators from the U.S. and North Korea went into "overtime" Thursday after a day of what were described as "substantive and serious" discussions.
  • 星期四美國和朝鮮高級核談判代表的會談進入延長時期;此前雙方用了一整天時間進行了被形容為 “實質性的嚴肅討論”。

  •   U.S. negotiator Glyn Davies told reporters in Beijing the sides were in "mid-negotiations" and had decided to have dinner together and then pick up the talks again on Friday.
  • 美國談判代表戴維斯在北京對記者說,雙方正在談判中,已經決定共進晚餐,然後在星期五繼續會談。

  •   He said the teams had covered a "number of issues" but declined to go into detail about any sticking points such as the issue of nuclear enrichment.

  • NATO: Gunman in Afghan Army Uniform Kills 2 Coalition Soldiers

  •   NATO officials say someone wearing an Afghan army uniform has shot dead two coalition service members in eastern Afghanistan, while protests over the burning of Qurans at a NATO facility continued for a third day.
  • 北約官員說,身穿阿富汗軍服的男子在阿富汗東部打死兩名聯軍士兵;同時,北約基地焚燒可蘭經引起的抗議活動進入第三天。

  •   It was not immediately clear if the NATO deaths Thursday were related to the demonstrations that have erupted across the country.

  •   But the Taliban issued a statement earlier calling on Afghans to launch attacks on foreign targets in retaliation for the desecration of the Muslim holy book.
