- A U.S.-based human rights group says lawyers working in China are facing increasing difficulties including harassment and jail for defending suspects and handling sensitive cases.

- China Imprisons 30 Over Tibetan Unrest

- Chinese state media say a court in Tibet has sentenced 30 people for terms of three years to life for their roles in deadly riots and violence in the region last month.
